MayView Cottage
Sleeps 2 / 3
MayView is a 17th century fisherman’s cottage that has been carefully restored, with no expense spared on fittings. Beautiful original stone walls throughout are complemented by a solid walnut floor and exposed beams. The cottage is beautifully situated next to Crail Harbour - the most photographed harbour in Fife - next to which is a sandy beach.

To ensure a relaxing start to your holiday, a chilled bottle of Chablis with crystal glasses awaits your arrival. You may also sample the complementary Scottish fudge, fine continental chocolates or fruit from the fresh fruit bowl (or all three!), while enjoying the fine sea views available from every room. Once indulged, you can check out the comprehensive list of things to see and do and plan the rest of your holiday.

BathroomThe living room has a log burning stove (with starter log basket) and fresh flowers on the table. The window seat set in the stone wall affords fine views across the Firth of Forth to the Isle of May. Housed out of the way in the under-stair cupboard across from the sofa is a wide screen TV (with Freeview), DVD / CD / video and a selection of books, games and children’s videos.

The ship’s kitchen includes a double ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, a full compliment of pots and pans, crockery and crystal glasses.

The large bedroom has exposed stone walls and original 17th century beams. The king sized bed has a Hypnos pocket sprung mattress with luxury duvet (all our linen is finest Egyptian cotton). Sitting on the triple aspect dormer seat, you can enjoy uninterrupted views down the Firth of Forth and over to the Isle of May. There is an LCD TV (with Freeview) and a Bose CD / tuner. Also provided are a hair-dryer, iron, small ironing board, pram, travel cot and a fold-out single bed suitable for a small child (storage space for these is located in the dressing area of the bedroom).

The bathroom has a luxury claw-foot spa bath with pressurised six-inch rain shower. Whilst brushing your teeth, you can enjoy wonderful views straight out to sea!
